Hello and welcome…

My name is Andy Goncalves and I’m a Hakomi trained body-centered counselor and Yoga Therapist, offering both in person and online sessions in Portland, Oregon.

I can support you in working with issues of attachment, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, moving through trauma, chronic pain, and in cultivating a more mindful and compassionate perspective. My approach is rooted primarily in mindfulness, curiosity, and deep listening.

For the past 18 years, I’ve been providing one on one, yoga based movement therapy in a medical clinic. Through this work, I’ve come to see the intimate relationship between our mind, body, and emotions. Eventually this led me to study Hakomi, a mindfulness, body-centered approach to psychotherapy, along with primary attachment therapy, (PAT) in order to gain insight and tools into supporting first myself and now others.
